The CPB Contractors Dragados Samsung (CPBDS-JV) joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.9bn WestConnex New M5. The New M5 is the second stage of WestConnex and will run in twin tunnels between the existing M5 East at Kingsgrove and new interchange at St Peters, providing improved access to the airport, South Sydney and Port Botany precincts.
The CPBDS-JV project is seeking applications for Site Engineers with experience in roads, earthworks and structures.
Key accountabilities of the role will include:
- Accurately record and track costs related to plant, materials and labour costs to produce monthly accruals and assist in control of the budget and forecasting;
- Provide proactive assistance to the Project Engineers during production of a fully detailed and accurate forecast Cost to Complete and reports;
- Assist in the management of subcontractors, consultants and suppliers in accordance with contract requirements ensuring high performance in terms of time, cost and quality;
- Prepare monthly reports addressing the performance of the section, areas of concern and opportunities
- Managing engineers in terms of claims, variations in time and further contractual obligations
- Ensure all project Quality Assurance, OH&S and Environmental requirements are documented and implemented
- Maintain a strong team commitment within the team and company generally
- Comply and implement company procedures and directives of the Project Manager and Senior Management
- Ensuring all works are in accordance with the applicable specifications and works are satisfactorily completed
- Ensure compliance with OH&S, contractual and legal obligations
- Represent the company to the client, independent certifier, subcontractors and the public in a professional and ethical manner and maintain the company image and reputation
This is a site based role and best suited to a tertiary qualified Site Engineer who has natural leadership capabilities and enjoys hands on management of site construction activities.
