Highly successful and well-established industrial plumbing business owned by a major water utility based in South-East Melbourne.
Position summary
The ‘Group Manager’ will lead this business through a major transformation project which will include defining and executing new go-to-market strategies, updating and modernising existing systems and launching new products and service offerings.

Key accountabilities:
Leadership
- Adopt a proactive leadership approach to drive high performance across the team ensuring performance is aligned with strategic priorities.
- Promote a positive work environment leading by example.
- Ensure a customer-focus within the team and maintain quality control over the services.
Business development and strategy
- Identify opportunities for growth by strengthening the marketing of existing products in new markets or new services.
- Input into the corporate strategy and business line plans.
- Develop a business model and oversee operational plans and activities.
Governance and management
- Participate in, and provide input to, governance and management meetings including board reporting.
- Ensure the business unit has accurate and timely information to confirm month-end reconciliations, sales projections and budget preparation.
Required skills & experience:
- A leader and positive thinker with demonstrated strong work ethic and enthusiasm
- Bachelor of Business and/or a similar degree
- Entrepreneurial qualities, strong problem-solving capability and solution-oriented
- Ability to identify new opportunities and develop a logical business case
- Knowledge of the water industry or utilities sector is preferable
- Strategic thinker with a hunger to continually improve
