Our client is one of the largest and most diverse providers of technical, professional and construction services.
Our client is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our clients Roads & Highways team based in South Brisbane. The successful candidate will undertake design tasks ranging from major highway projects, intersection and junction upgrades through to access roads and car parks. They will provide input to or lead, tenders and proposals for both external and internal clients as well as provide mentor and guidance to junior team members.
Skills & Expeience required:
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in the design process, co-ordination of work with other design disciplines and the efficient management and delivery of projects within budget, program and quality constraints. They will be suitably qualified with relevant experience having worked on a variety of civil engineering projects within Transport Infrastructure (highways / roads / aviation / general civils). Strong experience with Transport and Main Roads and/ or Brisbane City Council is desirable.
The candidate must demonstrate the following in order to be considered for the role
- Ability to document the detailed design of civil projects ensuring a cohesive, consistent and accurate set of design drawings
- Design of roads and highways in accordance with local codes
- Alignments and section design
- Drainage, civil works and earthworks
- Project management and design delivery
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineering Queensland (RPEQ)
