Brister & Co is a well established metal fabricator specialising in high quality products for the defence and mining industries. We are currently seeking a motivated energetic person to fill this position.
Main responsibilities:
- Model or use existing 3D parts and assemblies to create sheet metal developments and produce workshop drawings as an aid to manufacture.
- Nest parts and create programs for CNC punch and laser machines.
- Purchasing and Production planning as required.
- Estimation and pricing of jobs as required.
- Liaison with customers and suppliers.
Personal requirements:
- Willingness to learn new programs and be able to work as part of a team.
- Have intermediate computer skills and a good knowledge of 3D and 2D-CAD programs (Solidworks and/or Radan, ZW3D, Inventor, Draftsight, Autocad).
- Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and be able to use basic measuring equipment.
- Know how to use Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Outlook.
- A knowledge of part nesting software such as Radan and/or Sigmanest would be an advantage.
- A basic understanding of bending, CNC machining, and welding would also be beneficial.
The successful applicant would be able to begin working in their area of expertise and training would be provided in other areas of the position.
This position offers full-time permanent employment with remuneration being reflective of skills and experience.
