The position

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual who will join this high performing team to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services within the Alliance Airlines AMO Avionics workshop.

Note: This position has the flexibility of full time hours within a 4 day working week. 

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • The overhaul, repair and modification of aircraft Avionics components for internal Airline use  
  • The overhaul, repair and modification of aircraft Avionics components for Third Party vendors
  • Assess approved data to identify and develop additional workshop capability to support both the internal Airline and Third Party vendors
  • Design and fabricate test equipment to support the overhaul, repair and modification of aircraft Avionics components
  • Perform the calibration of tooling to support internal Airline requirements
  • Liaise with internal Airline CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation) to identify and have approved alternate component repair methods and substitute parts
  • Liaise with the internal Airline Supply Chain department to identify and coordinate the supply of spare parts to support internal Airline and Third Party vendor requirements       

To Be Successful

Ideally, you will have demonstrated experience in a similar position in an electrical or avionic work shop environment and possess the following:

  • Qualified in an Electrical Discipline 
  • Hold a current accreditation or licence in an electrical or avionic work shop discipline
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Aeroskills (Avionics) is desirable
  • Understanding of current WHS requirements
  • Satisfactory written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team focused environment
  • Ability to use analytical, reasoning and lateral thinking skills
  • Sufficient computing skills, particularly Microsoft office suite of programs
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and enthusiastic contributor to the workplace
