The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Scientist or Engineer to take the next step in their career into a management role.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure that technical tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
- Apply project management principles in carrying out tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner
- Preparation of technical documentation such as environmental reports.
- Conduct contaminated site inspections and investigations in accordance with approvals and management systems.
- Manage and lead a team of technical staff.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Degree qualified in Environmental Sciences/Engineer or related field.
- Substantial experience in major infrastructure projects or as site services.
- Excellent project management skills. Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to manage and identify environmental risk in projects.
- Effective management skills both internally and externally.
