An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced PRINCIPAL MECHANICAL ENGINEER to join our Design Team. Reporting to the Discipline Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring technical outcomes are achieved on all projects through development and implantation of new technology, discipline specific systems, procedures and documents. This is a full-time position operating from our Osborne Park office and offering support to site as required.

ABOUT YOU //

Your natural leadership abilities and well-developed interpersonal skills allow you communicate effectively and support the growth and development of the team of professionals working beside you. You hold:

• Relevant tertiary degree (bachelor level or above) from a recognised institution.
• Chartered Professional Engineer Certification.
• Fifteen (15) years’ relevant engineering experience including recent Australian resources industry exposure.
• Significant site-based experience during construction and commissioning project phases.
• Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
• Advanced knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices.
• Sound understanding of project planning, procurement, financial and contracts management functions.
• Advanced level of expertise with mechanical engineering technical detail.
• Exceptional planning and organisational skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with development of technical engineering drawings, schedules, models and general correspondence.
• Proficiency in Windows Microsoft Office including Outlook and the use of databases and design tools like Excel.
• Unlimited right to work in Australia.
