This role is an opportunity for a  Structural Engineer looking for their next role and keen to work with a leader in the Mining industry. We are looking for someone with no less than 7 years post graduate experience comfortable working a 2week on 1 week off FIFO roster.

The Objective for this person role is to address issues arising from an ageing infrastructure and a continuing evolving demand on the structural assets, suitable to perform, including but not limited to, the following tasks:

• Review of inspections conducted on concrete infrastructure, previous experience in the assessment and repairs to reinforced concrete structures is highly recommended.
• Assessment of the risk associated with redundant structures.
• Review of effectiveness of seawater corrosion control systems
• Perform review of site structural standards
• Provide guidance on the prioritization of known structural defects.
• Assist with the development and review of repair procedures and/or Scope of work for addressing structural issues.
• Perform design checks for modifications required to structures
• Review of finite element analysis and stress loading of existing steel structures.
• Provide field engineering support during execution of structural repairs or modification.
• Advice or conduct further structural inspections on critical assets.

A person with previous experience in operational support and structural condition assessment is required for this role and you will be offered continual support.
