Qld Soil Testing, as a part of the QST group, is a progressive consulting engineering firm based in Windsor, Brisbane. QST Group specialises in geotechnical design, surveying and soil testing of residential projects throughout South East Queensland.
The Role
We are looking for a junior draftsperson to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the industry door and progress.
You will be delivering 2D footing design drawings for residential projects. Day by day you will work as part of a team delivering engineering designs and drawings in AutoCad.
The successful applicant responsibilities will include:
- Production of engineering drawings in accordance with Australian & QST Standards;
- Liaising with engineers and other drafters to ensure the accuracy of design drawings;
- Preparation of documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.);
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders in a professional and productive manner by phone, email or face to face;
- Other duties as directed.
The successful candidate shall posses the following skills and attributes:
- It would be beneficial but not essential for the successful applicant to have a working knowledge of Autocad LT 2014, Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office;
- Excellent English both written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills;
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
- Courteous and confident phone manner;
- Have an enthusiastic work ethic and show initiative.
