About Us
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Project Manager to join our client who specializes providing Structural Steel Engineering solutions to their customers. Our client prides in providing innovative process solutions, and installation and commissioning of industrial equipment on customer site.
About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for
- Project management from inception to completion
- Win and complete projects on time & under budget
- Prepare project summary and financial schedule
- Prepare project schedule Gantt chart
- Review manufacturing schedules weekly to ensure progress of manufacturing orders is occurring as per purchase order dates and according to shipping schedule.
- Design & produce practical & suitable drawings for workshop
- Monitor progress of site works with our site team and keep customer informed and ensure any issue that arise from either site team or customer is addressed
- Perform work in a safe manner
About you
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Project objective within an established timeline and budget.
- Tertiary/Tafe qualification in Engineering will be highly regarded
- Previous experience as a Project Manager/Senior Engineer in an Engineering setup will be highly regarded
- Experience with structural steel is highly desirable
- Maintain or improve project schedule for deliveries, from major subcontractors such as Electrical supplier, Hydraulics Supplier, Thermal Supplier and Steering supplier.
- Maintain or improve site installation and commissioning schedule.
- Maintain ongoing customer contact, keep customer informed of project status and build relationship with customer.
- Strong communication ,organizational and time management skills including problem solving
