About the Role

Our Project Engineering roles are uniquely designed to support varied sites across our Queensland Engineering Departments. Reporting to the Superintendent Engineering, you will be responsible for the delivery of modifications and projects for the operations across our sites throughout the Bowen Basin region.

These roles will be based in Central Queensland across our various operations working on a 5/2 roster, however, we support flexible work arrangements.

In this role you will:

•             Review the quality of opportunity assessments and support the capital prioritisation process

•             Develop project business cases to obtain project approval for sustaining capital

•             Undertake the execution of design, specification, costing, scoping, and evaluation report works for projects.

•             Create project Scope of Work and Project Execution Plans; including budgets, schedules and feasibility studies.

•             Engage the operation across all departments, including key stakeholders, suppliers, vendors and contractors

•             Actively investigate and implement safety, productivity, and cost initiatives across our sites.

•             Lead construction and commissioning activities for projects and manage relevant risks, including preparing operational readiness information for projects

•             Participate in Field Leadership activities.

About You

You will be innovative and an enabler across all  facets and stages of project delivery including commissioning and closeout.  You will enjoy a projects environment and working collaboratively with various stakeholders across the end-end cycle.  You will enjoy working with inclusive teams, keeping to schedule and ‘think big’ on creative solutions in this dynamic, safety focused and diverse workplace environment.  You will be tertiary qualified in engineering and / or project management qualifications, project background  or undertaking degree qualifications. To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, allowing you to influence while also enabling you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels.
