As an independent authority, Lloyd's Register provides engineering consultancy and risk management services to a wide range of national & international markets.
The role is focussed on the Verification of offshore assets (principally FPSO's) against a number of relevant standards but will also provide exposure to similar activities in the wider marine sector providing for a broad and stimulating breadth of work.
Responsibilities:
- As a Senior Member of the Marine and Offshore Team in Perth you will be responsible for onshore and offshore verification activities controlled from our Perth Office and occasionally elsewhere to support other areas in our global network.
- Verification of structural, mechanical and E&I aspects and systems on fixed and floating offshore and marine assets.
- Verification of equipment and components in accordance with domestic and international standards.
- A comprehensive understanding and proven ability to interpret and apply Australian (or equivalent) offshore legislation.
- An ability to develop and apply solutions using basic principles of risk management with particular reference to offshore installation safety cases.
- Preparing performance standards and written schemes of examination.
- Providing good control of projects, including communicating with clients, financial control and timely and accurate reporting.
Our Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a degree (or equivalent) level in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Possess a robust level of relevant experience in the Offshore Industry to al level commensurate with this role.
- Have demonstrated ability to manage projects from a technical and commercial perspective
- Demonstrated advanced levels of communication skills, both verbal and written
- Have at least 10 years' experience in the Industry, with a significant portion with an international verification organisation or equivalent.
- Able to accommodate regular periods of working offshore, sometimes at short notice.
