Our client has an urgent contract role for an Engineering Bid Project Manager (EM-MS Systems Bid Leader / Bid Engineer) based in Bayswater. The initial contract is for four months and for the right person there will be an opportunity to transition in to a permanent role.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of projects within the defined requirements, ensuring business success and satisfaction of the customer. They will ensure timely decisions on open issues and escalate if necessary.
In the context of Engineering, they will manage a network of technical specialists in order to prepare bids for costumer specific components, systems or solutions. They will coordinate the Engineering disciplines and cooperate with regional Engineering units including their interfaces, and perform technical risk management.
Key Selection Criteria:
· Primary domain knowledge and proven experience - MV switchgear (GIS and AIS), CT & VT sizing, protection control measurement & instrumentation sizing, and LV switchgear.
· Experience with Siemens MV switchgear product range and engineering tools highly advantageous.
· Experience with utilities, commercial builders, renewables and infrastructure contractors advantageous.
· A degree in electrical engineering or 8 years relevant experience
