About the opportunity:

Nova Systems is a leading Australian owned Engineering and Project Management Consultancy servicing Defence industry, and our Commercial clients. Our Defence operations to date have delivered Engineering support across a number of Defence projects, including but not limited to;

• SEA 1000 Future Submarine;
• Collins Sustainment;
• SEA 1180 Off Shore Patrol Vessel;
• Hawkei Protected Mobility Vehicle - Light (PMV-L);
• AIR 5428 Pilot Training System;
• AIR 7000 P-8 Poseidon and MQ-4C.

As a result, Nova Systems has permanent employment opportunities and is actively hiring professionals to provide Engineering and Project Management services across our defence capabilities in our Newstead and Ipswich offices.

If you have Engineering experience in one or more of these Defence disciplines, with an AGSVA Defence Clearance then you are the person we would like to speak with;

• Systems Engineering;
• Safety Engineering;
• Test and Evaluation;
• Guided Weapons;
• Communications Engineering;
• Combat Systems Engineering;
• Software Integration and Assurance.

What we would like from you:

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Defence environment (preferred but not mandatory);
• Australian Citizen with current or recently suspended AGSVA clearance (NV1 preferred);
• Previous CASG (DMO), CDG or SPO experience would be highly regarded;
• Have a passion for consulting and the Defence industry;
• Motivated with a solutions focused approach to problem solving with strong interpersonal skills;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Excellent client management/stakeholder engagement skills;
• Commitment to on-going professional development.
