About the roles:

Our Melbourne office is looking for talented Systems Engineers and Systems Assurance Engineers to join our Rail team. Applications welcome from professionals at all levels.  We’re actively engaged in a number of high profile projects and are continually looking to expand our capabilities.

Our SESA group is open to individuals coming from outside the Rail industry who may wish to join the team, if you have a background in systems engineering, systems assurance, risk engineering, project management or a role that has a real focus on understanding the “why” of things and what can then be done to mitigate risk and improve outcomes then we’d welcome your application.

Within one of these positions, you’ll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in systems engineering and system assurance, working alongside a growing team, with a focus on some or all of the following:

• production of systems engineering and systems assurance management plans
• requirements elicitation and requirements management, including familiarity with DOORS and other tools,
• developing and modelling system architectures,
• reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) analysis,
• facilitation of hazard identification workshops, risk assessments and identification of risk controls
• understanding of human factors integration
• design integration and compliance with relevant technical and user requirements
• coordination of design reviews, design verification and validation activities.
• review project delivery against systems assurance requirements
• production of safety assurance reports and safety cases

What we are looking for:

• Relevant electrical or mechanical engineering, project management, risk or quality management background
• Rail or related industry specification and design integration experience
• Sound knowledge and experience of relevant national and international standards including EN50126 or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory
• Experience with rail infrastructure management processes would be ideal, but again, isn’t mandatory for this position.
