Global company in the rail sector with a track record of successful project completion is sourcing experienced managers. Multiple opportunities of career progression due to the recent acquisition and expansion of other organisations within the group.
The Role:
The Installation manager will be responsible for ensuring the completion of the technical side of the installation including testing and commissioning within the allocated time frame and quality expectations.You will be required to engage in regular contact with varied internal departments and subcontractors as well as external contacts such as customers, suppliers, rail operators and industry groups. Working closely with the Project and Program Manager, to ensure completion of the installation, testing and commissioning within established delivery target.
Mandatory Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electrical engineering
- Demonstrated ability in project management able to prioritise, plan and report.
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.
- Experience with project planning, budgetary tools and contract administration including risk management.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Developed skills in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel and Project is essential)
Desirable Skills
- Certification and familiarity with a Project Management methodology
- Knowledge of CAD design products
- Knowledge of the function and operations of Australian railway industries and markets
- Ideally, the candidate will have demonstrable experience in rail
