Cromarty's has a position vacant for an experienced electrical draftsperson with proven skills within the industrial market. For the right person we can offer this position based in either Hobart or Launceston.
The successful applicant must:
- Have a high level of proficiency in the drafting of electrical circuits.
- Exhibit detailed knowledge of Australian codes and standards
- Have an outstanding track record and safety record
- Be self-motivated with ability to discuss technical aspects of the job with Cromarty engineers and clients.
- Have a strong desire to be part of a successful team environment
- Possess attention to detail – ensuring all work is accurate and checked
- Be willing to travel to client sites throughout Tasmania.
- Maintain and enhance the company's excellent reputation with existing client base
- Have good knowledge of the local industries
Experience in the following would be desirable.
- Working on industrial installation projects
- Design experience in electrical control systems, with an understanding of:
- switchboard designs
- motors
- variable speed drive systems
- protection systems
- earthing
- cable installations;
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and customer specifications and ensure the safety of designs
- Instrumentation
- PLC, RTU and Telemetry systems
The position offers variety, and a degree of independence, with work undertaken at both office and customer worksites. There is considerable scope for development and the role will involve both project and maintenance work.
