About the role
We are seeking to appoint a mechanical engineer in our Crestmead office with a long term aspirations for business management. The successful candidate will undergo a training program covering a variety of functional areas to develop skills in manufacturing, contracting, estimating and engineering sales. It is envisaged that with strong performance the successful candidate would have a strong management career path within the business and more broadly in the AM Group.
The initial role will involve engineering design and technical sales tasks including:
- Preparation and checking of product designs based on order requirements.
- Preparation of technical drawings in AutoCad or Solidworks.
- Development of project cost estimates and quotations
- Technical sales advice to customers
Skills and experience
Applicants will need to have:
- Tertiary qualifications preferably in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in product design and documentation including CAD 3D modelling
- Experience in metal fabrication preferably in a jobbing shop environment
