 What We Are Looking For
You have about 3 to 5 years of working experience with a background in maintenance of building services, with the ability to extract technical information from drawings and manuals and experience in preparing technical documents and tendering, as well as in bid assessment, technical negotiation and contracts. 

You must have a tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering at a level appropriate for admission to the Institute of Engineers Australia or equivalent certificate and experience (minimum Cert IV Electrician). In addition you must have a working knowledge of low voltage and electrical systems, as well as sound understanding of the Work Health and experience in the use of computer-based Asset Information Systems for maintenance planning and work management.

Experience in tunnel services and railway industry is highly desirable.

About the opportunity
Joining our Operational Readiness team as Station Facilities Engineer, you will support Station Facilities Manager in the planning, preparation and implementation of all required asset management activities for the mechanical and electrical systems in stations and buildings on the MTS network. Your work will enable readiness for the operations phase in alignment with MTS business objectives, stations KPIs and customer service commitments.

Systems/Facilities will include Low Voltage and lighting systems, HVAC, Tunnel Ventilation, platform screen doors, lifts and escalators, hydraulic and drainage systems, fire systems (detection and suppression), water treatment plant, buildings and stations architectural elements and finishes. This role will give you a real chance to make your mark on the future of Australia’s transport infrastructure.

Work for MTS
Successful applicants will initially be offered a maximum-term contract until February 2020 within MTS, gaining valuable experience on the project revolutionising Australian public transport.

Based at the Sydney Metro Trains Facility Depot in Rouse Hill.
