Are you a senior level project manager / civil engineer looking for a step up to management? Maybe you're an established manager but need more autonomy?
  
This unique role will suit a Senior Project Manager to oversee the running, reporting and expansion of Cardno Oran Park office. Ideally you will have a background in land development projects but all applicants will be considered.

Cardno's Oran Park business has an exciting senior leadership opportunity which is based in Oran Park. This role will see you managing the overall operations of the team. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager (South Coast), you will be part of a dynamic, successful and growing team. You will be responsible for strategy, leadership, business performance, growth and contributing towards the goals of the wider regional strategy.
 
Specifically, your duties will include:

• Driving Cardno's commitment to safety and achievement of Zero Harm
• Managing the overall performance of the office, including financial management, leading and developing a team and ensuring key stakeholder relationships are maintained and developed
• Ensuring the office meets Business Unit KPI's in key areas
• Driving performance through the implementation of key commercial arrangements involving fees, new business development, work in hand, expenses and cash flows
• Setting the direction of the office through effective leadership and the pursuit of operational excellence
• Actioning the ongoing professional development of the team to foster a productive, collaborative and positive team culture
• Participating in short and long term planning in consultation with Project Managers to ensure work schedules are met
• Ensuring effective client relationships are maintained and new business opportunities are identified in a commercial and profitable way 

To be successful you will display:

• Tertiary qualifications in a related Engineering discipline coupled with 10+ years experience with a demonstrated track record of driving high-performance teams
• Previous experience in a senior Civil, Land Development, Transport or Environment capacity within a consulting environment
• Professional registration or working towards it
• Demonstrated experience in creating new business opportunities through effective client relationships and business development
• Strong commercial acumen to align Business Unit performance with overall goals and achieve profitability in an efficient and cost effective way
• An ability to influence and negotiate through effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Project Management skills to ensure specifications are met in line with commercial requirements
