C& M Leussink Engineering is a leading designer, manufacturer and provider of specialist products and services for the steel, mining, manufacturing and other industries. We've been in business for over 39 years, building a world's best practice capability to provide our customers superior quality and great customer service. The business is located in Unanderra, in the Illawarra district of NSW.
We're looking for a keen Estimator who will help us grow this exciting business into established and new markets. Responsibilities of this role include;
- Handle all requests for P&A enquiries
- Liaise with Sales, Production & other departments regards job requirements
- Be resourceful to seek & develop a solution to the enquiry
- Closely review the enquiry drawings and specifications
- Determine material, labour, machine requirement & complete a B.O.M
- Input data into computer system, complete costing & prepare system quote
- Liaise with Sales & assist with issuing of quote to client
- Process the orders to production. Purchase necessary material. Assist and update manufacturing schedule
- At end of each job, evaluate actual to estimate, make any necessary database adjustments
Ideally, we're after an enthusiastic individual with the following skills and attributes;
- Skilled at reading/interpreting engineering drawings & specifications
- A good understanding of metal machining & fabrication with strong technical aptitude
- A knowledge & passion for estimating. A keen eye for detail
- Good communication skills, keen learner & ambitions for career progression
- Well organised & excellent time management skills
- Trade/degree background in machining/engineering is preferred but not essential
