RMA Engineers are seeking a dynamic, versatile and motivated Senior Civil Engineer with extensive state government experience to join our established Toowoomba office.

Our civil engineering team partners with industry leading architects, town planners, developers, surveyors, contractors and government clients on a range of project sizes and types. We need a senior civil engineer who thoroughly understands the engineering design and construction requirements of TMR and is experienced in project management.
Responsibilities
- Provision of high quality technical assessment and advice to internal clients, external clients and stakeholders
- Schedule, resource and coordinate the completion of tasks in order to ensure timely provision of deliverables in accordance with agreed project timeframes, ensuring collaboration with internal and external stakeholders throughout the various project phases
- Development of new and maintenance of existing client relationships
- Supervision, development of, and mentoring of junior technical staff
Essential Skills
- An Australian-recognised civil engineering degree and has, or is working towards, RPEQ status
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in civil engineering, particularly TMR projects with a track record in successfully delivering development projects for clients
- Business case and detail design exposure will be looked upon favourably
- Cost estimation experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of the development process, from pre-DA to construction
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting and profitability
- Experience in application of TMR standards and specifications
- Exceptional communication skills, including:
- experience with preparation of bids and technical reports
- ability to liaise and negotiate clients and other key stakeholders
- Focus on client relationships with exceptional client engagement, networking and relationship management skills
- Capability to be an engaged mentor to less experienced team members
- The commitment to travel (infrequently, to regional Queensland) to meet our clients face-to-face and offer expert technical and planning advice
