Our Infrastructure Services division operates three business units: Road Services; Infrastructure Projects and Utilities. As we continue our evolution of growth and innovation, the best people are critical to our success in supporting our customers and catering to market demands.
The Downer/ Seymour Whyte Joint Venture recently awarded the construct only contract for the 10.5km Berry to Bomaderry Upgrade. The JV will build four lanes of new divided road between Mullers Lane at Berry and the Cambewarra Road roundabout at Bomaderry in addition to building temporary roads and carrying out road work for the safety of motorists and workers. When completed, it will be the final piece of more than 30km of highway upgraded between Gerringong and Bomaderry since work started in 2012.
Our Infrastructure Projects business is now seeking to engage the capability of an experienced Project Engineer for works in the Berry/Nowra region. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven engineer to work on a RMS roads project focusing primarily on Quality Assurance, Document Control, site costs, purchasing and compliance to Zero Harm requirements.
ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated capability in RMS roads and bridge projects working as a civil engineer
- Stakeholder management across all project levels
- Ability to interpret and apply contracts' terms and legislation provisions
- experience on RMS or similar civil infrastructure construction projects (roadworks, bridgeworks, brownfields, under traffic management
- Ensure that sub-contractors' and suppliers are engaged in line with Downer's procurement procedures, specifically ensuring that they deliver on the Zero Harm imperatives and their specific subcontract/supply agreement
- Possess exceptional negotiating and influencing skills
- Developed financial planning and budgeting skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of RMS specifications
- Proven experience form a Tier 1 or Tier 2 major civil contractor desirable
- Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering, 5 + years post grad experience
