Senior Electrical Engineer

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer to be a key member of our Utilities and Power team. With a wide range of electrical infrastructure projects in the pipeline you will be a key member in a team 15+ professionals to deliver accurate and efficient consulting and design services. This dynamic team, which is part of the 50+ staff Utilities, Power and Water Infrastructure Business Unit has a culture of collaboration and staff empowerment. We are looking for a RPEQ qualified electrical engineer with a vast array of major project experience, to help grow the team, foster relationships and deliver major award winning infrastructure projects across Australia and Asia
 
Specifically, your duties will include –

• Oversee and deliver the teams work output is of a technically high standard and activities are commercially viable for the business
• Delivering technically excellent design or consultation work
• Manage key client relationships and foster a client focused business unit culture
• Develop new client relationships and maintain current relationships
• Assist with efficient and effective implementation of the Business Action Plan, and strive to achieve personal goals for technical expertise and recognition within the industry
• Ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded

 
To be successful you will display –

• Minimum seven years demonstrated electrical design experience within a consulting environment
• Tertiary qualifications in electrical or controls engineering is essential
• Demonstrated experience in major electrical infrastructure (this role would not suit someone from Building Services)
• RPEQ electrical is essential for this role
• A project management qualification would be seen as an advantage
• Demonstrated technical excellence in applicable field
• An eye for detail, with the ability to deliver innovative and economical design solutions
• Key business network in the QLD electrical and controls industry
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
• A commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development
