SALARY RANGE: $78,117 to $84,361 pa (plus 17% super)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time (36.75 hours per week) and continuing
LOCATION: Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus
ABOUT THE ROLE
Deliver high-level technical support and advice to the academic teaching and research programs in the area of Materials Engineering within the School of Engineering.
This will include:
- Providing highly specialisd technical services, expertise, and high-level support to staff and students in the materials engineering discipline and other disciplines within the School.
- Ensuring that laboratory equipment is maintained and operated to a safe and high standard.
- Proactively ensuring that teaching objectives and graduate learning outcomes are achieved by working collaboratively and in consultation with academic staff.
- Ensuring the implementation of all University policies that relate to the areas for which the position is responsible.
ABOUT YOU
- A relevant degree related to Materials Engineering and/or significant experience; or extensive experience and specialist knowledge; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Relevant and current experience in a water treatment, analysis and or materials science or chemical type laboratory.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse and solve complex technical problems across multiple platforms.
- Broad working knowledge of materials science including destructive and non-destructive testing equipment.
