Moonee Valley City Council is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Civil/Building Engineer to become part of the Infrastructure Services Department. Within this position, you will provide specialist professional advice in the planning, design, procurement, building construction, project management of community facilities within the Moonee Valley municipality.

Reporting to the Coordinator Major Projects, you will:

• Manage and coordinate professional service providers including architects, engineers, landscape architects and quantity surveyors.
• Undertake construction supervision.
• Undertake tasks in relation to the development of asset management plans, implementing and enhancing asset management practices and systems (“AMS”).
• Provide timely and accurate reports for internal or external purposes.
• Provide specialist professional services within nominated project groups established for project design and delivery.

The successful applicant will hold a degree in civil/building construction engineering, architecture or construction management with relevant experience, or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience in construction or over a wide field of construction works.
