Role

An immediate requirement has arisen for an experienced Engineering Technical Officer. Based on Perth's city fringe, this is the chance to assist the highly successful technical team, whilst gaining exposure to some of the Council's key engineering and traffic projects.

Prerequisites

  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Technical Officer role within civil engineering/infrastructure
  • Experience in assessing utility contractor minor works, development applications and evaluating and processing of traffic management plans, obstruction permits and crossover applications
  • Exposure to traffic safety and the Black Spot program desirable
  • Strong analytical, programming and scheduling skills, ideally related to traffic counters
  • A high level of communication and stakeholder liaison
