This can only be made possible with great people and the right organisational structure.  A high level review of our organisational structure has recently been undertaken, identifying the requirement for highly talented and experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer's to join the team.

Reporting to our Principal Electrical Engineer and working as part of a team, the successful candidate's will be integral in helping to drive the department forward. They will be providing instrumentation and control system design, development and commissioning services and ensure these project phases are completed in a timely and cost effective manner to meet both CSI and client expectations.

Based in Perth with site based requirements, this new role will require an effective communicator who is both strategic and hands-on and can engage effectively with individuals and teams across a diverse organisation.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Review and plan projects with the Electrical Manager to ensure technical aspects of each job are clear.
  • Provides a focal point for all technical based queries from the client or associated sub suppliers.
  • Liaise with both in-house and external designers and detailers as required for the successful completion of each project.
  • Assist with purchasing of materials for projects by assessing quantities and completing purchase orders.
  • Ensures that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that company procedures are followed.
  • Prepare Inspection and Test Plans and associated Project Specific Procedures.
  • Assist in Project document and drawings control.
  • Development of project MDR’s and deliverables.
  • Assist in project reporting – both in house and client reports. 



Key Skills Required:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Electrical, Control or Mechatronic Engineering (or similar) or Relevant Trade Qualification
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar position
  • Mining related industry experience working on large construction projects
  • Diverse project experience from Design, Programming to Commissioning and Production Support
  • Hands on programming experience with GE Proficy (ME and/or Cimplicity)
  • Exposure to bulk materials handling as well as mineral processing operations will be highly regarded
  • Exposure to hazardous area instrumentation design or SIL determination and design processes will be highly regarded
