We are seeking applications from qualified graduates for Maintenance Engineer, Electrical, Depot Assets to join our team in Wulkuraka. Reporting to the Depot Asset Lead (Manager), the successful candidate will support the scheduled and unplanned Depot Asset maintenance, which includes Plant & Equipment, Track, Signaling, OHL and Buildings.
The role will also take on a significant element of continuous improvement in the way the Depot Assets are maintained, and to drive costs down over the 30 Year concession period.
Your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Ensuring ongoing compliance to Standards and adherence to the maintenance schedule, demonstrable through reports, audits and compliance matrices.
- Shall carry out planned and corrective maintenance and inspections on the Depot Assets
- Fulfil the Control of Contractors role, approval of scope of work, method statements and risk assessments
- Review Service Provider contract scopes and conduct proposal assessments
- Review and support the compilation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and the issuance of Permits to Work.
- To maintain a safe working environment always
- Perform defect rectification on all Depot Assets from time to time.
- Provide audit support to internal and external stakeholders pertaining to the Depot Assets
- Carry out health checks as required to deliver and maintain high performing Depot Facility and Assets
- Ensure all data capture and the effective use of the Maintenance Management System, Maximo, is assured always
- Liaise with the Operations, Procurement & Logistics and Engineering teams to ensure repairs are affected with no impact to in service performance
- Compile Business Cases for the Depot Assets and associated Life Cycle Costs
- Perform Depot Asset modifications as necessary
- Perform post work testing and validation as necessary
- Build positive relationships with all stakeholders to support a successful fleet operation
- Conduct all work to a high standard
- Other depot duties as required by the Depot Asset Coordinator
- All tasks will be based on competency requirements being assured.
It is expected you will have the following qualifications, experience and personal characteristics:
- Engineering Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic discipline.
- Previous Industrial Building maintenance experience highly desirable
- Contractor management and coordination experience highly desirable
- 1 to 3yrs of experience in a similar role, in Service Agreement, preventive and corrective maintenance, modifications and continuous improvement is highly desirable
- Previous experience and understanding of the rail industry and rail vehicles desirable but not essential.
