This leading manufacturer and distributor of major brand electrical/ mechanical consumer products is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer to take responsibility for administering regulatory compliance matters of all imported products to ensure that new product development projects are completed and that all products acquire active certifications before going to market.  This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who has a couple of years’ experience in a Regulatory, Compliance, Validation, Quality or similar role and would like to take the next step in their career, or for a graduate Mechanical or Electrical Engineer looking for a great first career step.
The role includes:

• Liaising with eternal certification bodies, external test suppliers, arranging supply of test units
• Manage the end-to-end product approval for water and energy certifications
• Ensuring correct certification for all products (e.g. electrical, gas and water)
• Maintain and develop product manuals, parts files, QA reports and other documentation
• Tracking of expiration dates and lodgement of all documentation required as part of the certification process
• Consumer electronics documentation
• Attend meetings with industry association and regulatory bodies
• Document updates within ERP and document control systems
• Help on audits of products
• Communicate with local and SE Asian product management and QA teams regarding testing, certification and compliance procedures for new products

We would be interested in enquiries from candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a Quality, Compliance, Validation or Product Design involving electrical or mechanical products
• OR a Graduate willing to learn
• Tertiary qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline
• Hands on experience of working on electrical or mechanical products, eg testing, diagnostics, assembling etc
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage a variety of key stakeholders, both internal and external to the business
• Strong aptitude for problem solving
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of document control
• Strong computer skills, particularly Word or similar
• Proactive, can do attitude and ability to work well with a team
• Strong analytical ability

• Self motivated and able to manage your own schedules
