Current Situation
Do you enjoy people management and leading a team but would prefer to leave the work wining to someone else?
You are hands on as a boss; you still roll up your sleeves and get involved in the day to day. You enjoy developing younger engineers and mentoring future leaders of the business. Your strength is passing on technical knowledge and business acumen in terms of delivery of projects to key clients in the industry.
You enjoy the challenge of running a decent team and working together to a mutual goal. You thrive in a fast paced environment with plenty of project pipeline. You are a client facer, who makes long standing relationships and solve tricky design issues as part of your daily repertoire.
Where to now?
The opportunity here is to co-manage a civil team of 30, alongside a reputable Team Leader who has a long history in the civil market. The team has recently been restructured, with one of the existing team leaders moving up into an executive role in business development, making room for someone to come in and take over his outgoing position.
A solid and stable option in the market, with more growth expected. Opportunity to take on Technical Director position within 18-24 months as they look to expand their civil offering.
Pushing over 100 staff, they have a loyal staff base and continue to win awards as an employer of choice. Plenty of resources and admin support. The beauty of this role is that there is an established team to take over that has been well run; you are simply stepping in his shoes and building on the legacy that has already been put in place.
Requires; At least 12-15 years in a similar team leadership role in their civil works space for buildings. Civil Enginering Degree, CPEng and solid local experience in a similar consultancy.
