Pritchard Francis is an award-winning engineering consultancy built around strong relationships with its clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Darwin team.
About the Role
Working alongside a team of talented and technically focused professionals, this role will involve coordination with clients and other consultants and will provide a complete range of engineering solutions. Applicants will have outstanding technical skills and demonstrated experience in all aspects of civil engineering with ideally a minimum of 5 years' experience.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Direct contact client contact with role including developing new and maintaining existing client relationships
- Assist Northern Territory Manager in identifying, tracking and submitting for opportunities
- Design and overseeing documentation within the Civil team
- Design review of internally documented projects
- Obtaining relevant approvals for works via liaison with relevant authorities and stakeholders
- Site inspections (including inspecting properties to check conditions/foundations and monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors)
- Consistently produce quality documents in agreed timeframes
About You
This is a full-time position and requires a self-motivated, team orientated individual, capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on professionalism and innovation. Local Darwin, Power and Water Corporation and NT Government project experience will be highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of an Engineers Australia recognised Bachelors of Engineering Degree
- 5 years' minimum civil engineering experience. Relevant experience on projects in Australia and the Northern Territory essential.
- The ideal candidate would apply their experience to a diverse range of civil engineering projects, including work in land development, civil infrastructure, water infrastructure, transport, earthworks and drainage sectors.
- Strong understanding of statutory, compliance and local authority requirements
- Strong communication and liaison abilities to engage with other engineers and clients
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a busy client focussed team
- Prior experience in a consulting environment would be advantageous
