We are a leading provider of electronic products, manufacturing for both local and international businesses within the transportation, medical, aerospace and defense industries. Our main facility based in Mount Waverley our business is expanding rapidly with offices in North America and Singapore.
Specialising in electronic product design and development, we offer customised design and manufacturing of emerging technologies. Our facilities and processes are required to meet international industry certifications, regulatory registrations and compliancy levels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing highly reliable electronics products for industrial, medical and defense markets. Your role involves "thinking outside of the box" enabling functionality with electronic design integration in new product development including:
- Writing specifications
- Feasibility research and tear down studies
- Electronic circuit design (analogue & digital)
- PCB with Altium and Mentor design tools
- Design verification test plans against product requirements, FMEA risk mitigations and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with external test houses for EMC, electrical safety and other testing requirements
- Maintain an extremely well organised development environment
- Troubleshoot and modify prototype designs
- Documentation for design for manufacture in an ISO 9001 & 13485 environment
- Partake in customer design reviews
Skills and Experience:
- Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering
- 7 – 10 years of electronic product design and development experience
- Wide knowledge of electronic systems and components, processors, digital, analog, displays, power supply and FPGAs
- Must be well organised and professional
- Must have knowledge of latest DFx requirements for modern downstream manufacturing
- Must have good technical writing skills
You will have a very high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Also, you will be able to exercise sound judgment to determine appropriate action within defined procedures and practices.
