Due to continued growth and expansion, we are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified Project Manager who will be flexible and committed to our mining operations.

POSITION SUMMARY

The main focus of this role will involve project management with a focus on:

  • Preparing estimates and quotes;
  • reviewing tenders and contracts;
  • procuring materials, goods and services;
  • Initiate production documents, document non-conformances, initiate and process corrective action and preventive action, sign off non-conformances, and sign off completed jobs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaise with clients relating to manufacturing requirements, reaching a documented mutual understanding of technical and contractual matters;
  • Review the product to be manufactured or repaired in terms of engineering specifications, standards and manufacturing requirements to ensure that all technical issues and challenges are understood by Camco Engineering;
  • Prepare estimates and quotations in adherence to company pricing policy and with due regard to current and projected workshop loading;
  • Review and approve quotations in adherence to company pricing policy and with due regard to current and projected workshop loading.
  • Prepare project execution plans for contracts, including ITP’s and manufacturing procedures;
  • Purchase materials, goods and services in a manner that optimises profitability without negatively impacting on customer service.
  • Liaise with Workshop Management in the planning of workshop production activities and utilisation of workshop resources.
  • Review the progress of jobs against estimated labour, material and delivery requirements.
  • Provide appropriate input into the development of operating budgets.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant tertiary, trade or workshop engineering background and extensive experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management
  • High level of experience in machining, fabrication, welding and mechanical refurbishment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with client and work group
  • A hands on attitude, strong problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Proof of right of work in Australia
