Your role:
As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the complete shifts operations and various continuous improvement projects at our 24/7 continuous production facility on Andrews Road, Penrith.
Shifts are rotating days and nights on a 4 on, 4 off pattern (2 days, 2 nights followed by 4 off). The Shift Manager is directly responsible for approximately 28 operators and 2 shift trades and is the site lead on the back shifts and weekends.
With a priority on safety, the Shift Manager is responsible for coordinating the efficient operation of the shift by determining shift manning, production and maintenance breakdown priorities and working closely with the production management teams to ensure effective results.
You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement in safety, efficiency and quality, then managing projects to execute said continuous improvement opportunities.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced and successful people leader who demonstrates professionalism and strong problem solving skills. Your background will preferably be in a fast paced, continuous manufacturing environment and any glass manufacturing experience will be highly regarded. Proven experience effectively managing a team including driving performance, accountability and training initiatives is essential. Relevant degree and lean manufacturing qualifications will be looked upon favorably.
You will have relevant engineering credentials and have extensive experience in managing continuous improvement projects within a process manufacturing environment.
