Wabtec Control Systems is currently looking to engage a Senior Signalling Engineer, based in Melbourne Victoria. You will be a talented and highly skilled Signalling Engineer who will provide high level technical support and supervision in relation to design, checking and validating signalling systems in accordance with statutory, regulatory, company and client standards.

Duties/Responsibilities Include:

• Promote and ensure the appropriate  standards of health, safety and environmental management are adhered to;
• Prepare schedules for preliminary and detailed designs of signalling systems that comply with statutory and regulatory requirements;
• Monitor progress and initiate remedial action where required to ensure signalling projects are completed on time and within budget;
• Supervise preparation of documentation for standards and specifications in relation to signalling systems;
• Provide high level technical support for all signalling projects as required;
• Act as independent checker verifying signalling designs and application data prepared by others;
• Participate in factory acceptance testing and/or site testing of signalling systems and equipment;
• Participate in the commissioning of signalling systems;
• Report on signalling projects as required;
• Develop individual and team competence.

Requirements:

Essential

• Degree qualified in Engineering or Equivalent;
• Substantial experience working as a senior signalling engineer;
• Expert user of Microsoft Office in particular Word and Excel;
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD or Microstation.

Preferred

• Rail Provider certificate/statement of competencies;
• IRSE Accreditation;
• MTM/ARTC Accreditation.
