Located in the Outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne - our client is a multinational manufacturer specialising in rubber and plastics technology. They are well regarded all over the world for the superior, leading edge quality of their products and services supplying to a range industries including mining, agriculture and infrastructure

Description

• Handling of complex 3D and 2D designs
• Creating mechanical drawings and models form specifications issued form the Design engineer
• Working closely with Plant Engineers regarding model designs, drafting and documentation standards.
• Reviewing of drawings and revising of project drawings
• Developing of 3D models or prototypes and 2D drawings
• Checking of all compliance of engineering drawings
• Liaise with procurement and suppliers in regards to accuracy of specifications

Profile

The suitable candidate will possess the below:

• Previous experience in a similar drafting role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication in English, both written and verbal
• Strong proficiency in Auto-cad
• Mechanical engineering background and qualification is preferred
• Strong Attention to detail

Job Offer

The hours of work would be Monday - Friday 7-3pm. A generous salary package is on offer for the most suitable candidate. This role will commence as a temporary placement and may become permanent for the right person.
