ABOUT THE ROLE

RCR Resources is a leading provider of Engineering, Procurement and Construction expertise for mining and oil & gas projects. RCR provides market leading turnkey materials handling solutions, from design and manufacture to maintenance and off-site repair. This is complemented by a comprehensive range of specialist services in heavy machinery repair including shutdown, refurbishment and maintenance.

DUTIES

  • Ensure that pre-contract commercial matters are effectively managed in accordance with RCR's commercial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective post-contract commercial management of the prime contract and sub-contracts and pursue full commercial entitlement.
  • Deliver commercial controls across the business, established at sales/estimating stage and followed through each operation and department to ensure that the planned commercial and performance targets are delivered and where possible enhanced.
  • Develop, implement and maintain Procurement strategy in order to streamline supplier network, capitalise on RCR’s buying power and ensure consistency across operations and projects
  • Develop, implement and maintain a set of standard contract terms and conditions for RCR suppliers
  • Liaise with company’s Legal Counsel to ensure full compliance with company’s contracting principles.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Significant relevant experience in legal and / or commercial matters related to the construction industry
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of commercial, economic and business issues relating to the construction industry.
  • Experience with the preparation and administration of commercial and contractual aspects of contracts, administration of KPI schemes, cost value analysis and reporting, subcontract award and administration and risk management.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet strict deadlines.
