Our client is a boutique client side project and construction management consultancy who provide independent and professional services for property and infrastructure projects. They are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Project Manager to join their innovative and client focussed team to work on a large & prestigious infrastructure project.
A high degree of client and stakeholder liaison will be involved, from feasibility stage to delivery stage of the project. Leadership, communication and people management skillset will be paramount along with a strong base of technical knowledge. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering profitable projects from scope development through construction to hand over, providing a high quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
Ideally experience in Light Rail or Utilities / Roads projects (or similar or civil type projects) and the candidate can come from the client or head contractor side. If from the contractor side, Contract Administration, Project Engineering and Project Management Skillsets are sought after. Strong stakeholder engagement experience is also a must.
Offering and end to end consulting, PM and advisory service to their clients, they have a diverse project portfolio spanning commercial buildings, industrial, retail, education, aged care, hotels and infrastructure.
DUTIES
This position will include such duties as, but not restricted to:
- Client management and consultation
- Project Planning/Feasibility studies
- Risk Management
- Value Engineering
- Design Management and Value Engineering
- Procurement of construction services
- Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent
- Commissioning and post contract duties for handover
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Construction Management or property related qualification
- 8 to 15 plus years of end to end project management on building projects
- Experience in Business Development or a strong network would be an advantage
- Leadership skills
- Strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous client side project management experience
