This is a leadership opportunity to join a mid-tier builder who's objective is to invest and expand their higher level capability. As such, you will be judged not only on your technical capacity and cultural fit, but on your project portfolio as a 'fit-for-purpose' project manager. This will be a comparative assessment to find the 'right' person who has remained committed to the commercial build industry; representing Queensland experience in Hospitals, Aged Care facilities, Multi-story Residential and Commercial works. (Unfortunately applicants from Resources and/or Residential projects will not be considered). You must be currently working in the mid-tier commercial build market and reside in South East Queensland.
The ability to secure the majority of their projects through negotiated tender means realistic margins, achievable timeframes and higher quality projects.
This is a senior project management role!
You will be empowered to take authority and ownership of your own projects. As such, you will have demonstrated both the capacity to deliver multiple projects at various stages of the delivery cycle and the ability to manage complex and larger works.
Only applicants that meet ALL of the following criteria will be considered;
- Minimum 15 years Australian Commercial Build industry experience.
- Trade/Tertiary qualification in construction.
- Extensive project experience in the $10M-$30M scale.
- Strong working history and developed relations in the Qld construction industry.
- Stable work tenure representing loyalty to previous employers. This does not mean moving companies every 2-3 years.
- Experience delivering Health, Aged Care & Multi-level facilities.
- Preference will be given to individuals with D&C project experience.
