WBHO Infrastructure is the Australian business of one of South Africa's largest contractors. WBHO is undergoing significant expansion, and is currently involved in exciting projects across Australia, including project delivery and pre-contracts activity across multiple states.
The Project
The Western Roads Upgrade project will deliver a combination of road widening, duplications and intersection upgrades that will fix eight congested roads in Melbourne's Western suburbs. In an Australian-first, the public-private partnership will also extend to road maintenance, ensuring more than 260kms of existing arterial road network in the western suburbs is maintained over the next two decades.
Your Role
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will be working to support the Western Roads UPgrade Project as part of the wider project team. This will be a permanent full time role, commencing immediately.
Key Tasks
- Work on the development and implementation of the Project’s Sustainability Management Framework, including review and continual improvement of the Sustainability Management Plan
- Identify and assess sustainability initiatives and programs to achieve net positive benefits for the environment and community, whilst embedding requirements consistent with technical design solutions
- Work with our package owners to drive the delivery of the ISCA deliverable across the project life cycle
- Working as part of a HSEQ and Sustainability team to manage the Infrastructure Sustainability Council Australia (ISCA) to obtain a design and as built rating.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience in the application the IS Rating tool during both design and As Built stages of a project
- Must be a registered ISAP through the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA)
- Ideally environmental site experience is a bonus (inspections, monitoring, reporting), as the role will require an on-site presence as part of the wider Environment & Sustainability Team
