The Company
This company has been operating for over 20 year and is one of Sydney's leading Fitout, Refurbishment and Construction companies.
There's a strong focus on all key construction sectors (Commercial, Education, Health/Aged Care, Defense and Government) with projects commonly ranging from $500k - $20 million. However, they have recently completed their biggest project to date at over $40 million.
They look for people with a strong work ethic, but who still know how to have fun and how to look out for one another. This has led to a work culture that highlights work/life balance and flexibility for everyone too. By creating a healthy working environment; they mirror most of their client's own ambitions for how a workplace should operate.
The Opportunity
The initial concentration will be on settling into the company, but very quickly you'll be expected to run rather than walk. The company has a healthy pipeline of negotiated projects on the horizon which are likely to need an experienced CA to take full control of.
Training is well-structured and offers a broad range within estimating/tendering, client management, site supervision along with much more.
The depth of experience in the teams means that whilst you'll be given autonomy to drive the jobs as you see fit; you'll still have the backing and support from some of the industry's finest.
The Right Person
Ideally, the perfect candidate will also have a history of managing people as there is an opportunity to train up cadets/juniors and help push the development of others forward.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent
- 3+ years construction experience in Australia
- Head-contractor Experience on Projects over $10 million
- Project experience in High end Commercial Office, Retail or Hospitality
- Enthusiastic and Driven individual that is tech savvy
- Experience in Jobpac, Cheops and/or Buildsoft is a benefit.
