Toll People is seeking a candidate with strong experience in the Civil Construction and or Mining industry who is seeking to join a growth business and be part of the executive leadership team.

As the Senior Commercial and Contracts Manager you will lead and manage the finance and commercial component of the business. You will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.

This position requires strong negotiation and influencing skills to achieve contract close-out, extension and renewal, contractual changes and resolve any contract-related issues both internally and externally.

Additionally, the Senior Commercial and Contracts Manager will provide support for Business Development and Estimation, new and existing client development; working to build relationships and drive new business.

You will be responsible for

• Reviewing commercial terms of new and existing contracts

• Leading and participating in negotiations with customers for contract renewals, new contracts and supplier agreements whilst liaising with TMS legal and management team

• Preparing financial modelling on new business proposals and tenders

• Preparing cost/revenue analysis to support ad hoc pricing requests from customers

• Analysing and identifying business performance drivers and recommend commercial outcomes to business stakeholders

• Liaising with senior managers to ensure reporting accuracy and data integrity in the business

• Developing and produce senior management reports and distribute quarterly

• Maintaining pricing model and update for required iterations

• Analysing and reporting on the profitability of existing contracts and operations

• Providing advice to management team on actions required to improve business performance

• Review of new capex and provide monthly reporting on major capex performance

• Coordinating regions with financial portion of annual reviews

To be successful in this role you will have

• Minimum 5 years' experience within Mining/Exploration or Civil Construction

• Degree qualification in commerce, business or associated field (essential)

• Financial analysis and modelling

• Contract management

• Sound knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, costing and cost analysis

• Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills

• Excellent attention to detail, proactive, forward thinking with the ability to manage multiple task concurrently and, work to deadlines

• Advanced computer skills
