About the business and the role
The Latitude 37 Group is an award winning designer and builder of pre-designed and custom homes in Melbourne's Inner East, South East and Bayside suburbs as well as the Mornington Peninsula. We were delighted to be awarded the title of '2015 HIA Australian Professional Medium Builder of the Year'.
With strong home sales and a growing number of multi-residential projects, we are seeking additional capability to join our Estimating team, working on homes with build costs that typically range from $600k to $2M. We are offering an exciting and challenging role in a small team supported by like minded professionals, passionate about delivering great homes that delight our clients.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Accurately take-off of quantities
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations
- Prepare BOQ's and purchase orders
- Liaise with design & sales teams to source products/services
- Liaise with site supervisors
Skills and experience
Applicants must possess the following experience and attributes:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in residential estimating
- Ability to work independently
- DataBuild experience is preferred but not essential
- Custom home experience is preferred but not essential
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritise, plan and achieve project objectives across multiple concurrent projects
- Team oriented, resourceful
- An eye for detail and "near enough is NOT good enough" attitude
