Our client is a major civil contractor who are currently delivering a $500 million road project in Brisbane. They have consistently and safely delivered multi-million-dollar civil infrastructure projects and this project will include road and structural works. This renowned civil contractor need an Environmental Manager to help deliver one of their landmark road projects. They require somebody who has the drive to manage larger scale works and complete works on-site, rather than from behind a computer screen. With an unrivaled ability to deliver major civil infrastructure and a history of successful project delivery across Queensland, this contractor can ensure further career development on long-term works. 

Working closely with the Project Managers, Site Foremen and the Area Engineers you will take a lead and manage all Environmental works across this market-leading project. Liaising with Engineers and Supervisors, you will help ensure that best practice environmental systems are put in place and all environmental controls are compliant. We are looking for an Environmental Manager that is hands-on to the point that they enjoy doing weekly water samples and soil testing on-site. As you help the business grow, you will also have the opportunity over time to build a team of people who report to you.

To be successful in this role you should have;

• Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering or equivalent
• have worked on major civil infrastructure projects
• an ability to form strong relationships with multifaceted site teams
• excellent communication skills
• strong client relationship skills
