We are seeking a Building Validator/Valuer to work from our Adelaide office. You will use your estimating or building background to evaluate various pieces of information to determine whether the scope of insurance repair work is commensurate with the cost of the work. In addition you will ensure that all prices can be validated and are within market rates.
Some of what you'll be doing:
- Validation of building claims including indemnity, scope of works and repair costs
- Compile detailed and accurate Scope of Work or Building Repair Schedule when required.
- Scope and estimate cost of repairs to Domestic & Commercial properties
- Manage builder/contractor work, progress and performance via an online repair system
- Produce high quality & accurate written reports
- Excellent customer service, organisational & communication skills
- IT competent
Who we're looking for:
- Extensive building background in either the residential or commercial space
- Extensive estimating experience and demonstrated knowledge of building costs/terminology
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- A proactive approach to solving problems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
