Safety Director

• Major Infrastructure Project with Tier 1 Contractor

The Company

Enginuity is currently engaged to assist a number of Tier 1 contractors in the delivery of personnel to some of Sydney’s most prestigious infrastructure projects. These are extremely exciting projects which will change the outlook of Sydney’s transport network.
  
We now require a Safety Director to develop and implement health and safety management systems on a major civil construction project.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Overseeing a large team of dedicated HSE professionals who will provide the best service possible to the project
• Ensuring a strategy is in place for all safety project matters whilst maintaining constant improvement to the safety culture
• Working closely with the Project Director and other key stakeholders to deliver best possible safety outcomes
• Adhering to all legislation
• Evaluating the impact of all operations making recommendations as and when required

Experience
 
To be considered for this position, the successful candidates will possess the following:

• Possess a degree or tertiary qualification in health & safety
• Previous experience in a similar position
• Strong understanding of civil infrastructure projects with an emphasis in tunneling
• Have worked on major multi-million dollar projects
• Sound knowledge of HSE legislation
• Possess excellent interaction skills and be able to develop relationships with personnel at all levels
• The ability to lead large project teams
• Governance, drive and resilience
