Immediate opportunity for an electrical Estimator to join multi-disciplinary services contractor in Western Sydney. This role will suit an experienced and career driven electrical Estimator who is seeking an opportunity to work alongside senior management professionals in tendering for minor and major works projects.
This opportunity will also see you assist in the development a the new project management arm of the business. You will lead the establishment, development and growth of an estimating and project management division.
Advanced Excel skills and experience is essential as this role requires you to prepare your own spreadsheets, prepare formulas and create and use pivot tables for cost estimation and tender preparation.
The role:
- Quote, estimate, tender minor works projects and services contracts across commercial, government, aged-care, retail sites
- Assist wider management team with estimating queries and questions across multiple trade disciplines
- Communicate and create relationships with all stakeholders, clients and field staff
- Lead the establishment of an estimating and project management division within the company
You will possess:
- Trade or degree qualification in electrical, mechanical or similar
- Advance Excel experience and knowledge (essential)
- Previous estimating experience and understanding on Australian codes and standards
- Ability to conceive and plan projects at tender stage with accuracy
- Strong communication and computer skills
