About the role

Franze Developments are currently recruiting for a Project/Development Manager with experience. A key role assisting the company in delivering high-end residential, hotel and commercial construction.

This role is accountable for all Project planning and scheduling working alongside the Director. You will be responsible for the organisation, leadership, development and control of Sub-Contractors, Consultants and Major Builders in the industry. This position would be ideal for someone that is looking to move from an assistant PM/DM role into a PM/DM management role.

Position Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to Director and assisting in the management of projects throughout planning, design and construction phase
  • Working on multiple projects at a time, managing the entire timeline of the projects from front end through to delivery being mindful of budget
  • Prepare and submit variations and progress claims
  • Maintain and report actual costs compared to tender of each job at completion
  • Management of variations and design changes
  • Work alongside consultants and sub contractors
  • Hold weekly project meetings - design, PCG etc
  • Regularly travel to different sites to oversee projects

Required Skills and Experience

  • Full time position of a minimum of 40 hours per week. The occasional over time may be required.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to build a great rapport with clientele, trades and external stake holders.
  • Must be able to read and interpret architectural, structural and services drawings etc
  • Previous industry experience in a development/construction and project environment. Minimum of 2 years experience required 
  • Degree qualification in Property, construction or similar business degree preferred but not essential
  • Residential, hotel & commercial experience highly regarded
  • Must have knowledge of Excel, Word, MS Project, CAD (Optional)
  • Must be able to review, create and administer development/construction programs
  • Assist in completing Project claims/ bank drawdowns & maintaining cost to complete
  • Site identification/selection
  • Experience in running project feasibility using Excel and Estate Master
  • Liasing with local and subordinate authorities
