The Role

Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to undertake the above positions. 

The successful Medium Plant Operators will undertake the efficient and safe operation of plant and machinery within the construction and maintenance works areas.  This includes work on road pavements, storm water drainage systems, footpaths and cycle ways, traffic and parking facilities.

What You Will Need

All applicants must possess a current HR Drivers licence and/or a plant operator’s certificate or current certificate of competency for one or more of the following: backhoe, skidsteer, roller, tractor, truck, small excavator or front end loader or sufficient practical experience to obtain competency.  Previous experience in road construction and maintenance or a related field is also required.

Salary Range

The salary range for the Medium Plant Operators, $946.60 - 1060.20 per 38 hour week ($24.91 - $27.90 per hour) plus 25% casual loading.

Other conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council’s policies and procedures.
